There are thousands of game out there and it can be hard to know which ones are worth investing time and energy into playing. Nox Archaist is definitely not a game for everyone, no matter how much you try to explain that it is indeed a new game, and the reasons why it looks like an old-school game. Yes, I completely agree - SKALD looks amazing. even includes FD images to make your own floppies to play on your Apple HW. However, this game would not be playable on actual C64 HW whereas, Nox Archaist does play on a real Apple IIe (w/ 128KB RAM). That one also tries to maintain a high fidelity with those games of yore, but in this case the graphics palette attempts to mimic that of the Commodore 64 - including optional CRT filter.

The Lord of Storms Expansion includes the complete original storyline along with the expansion content, so once you start a new game you will be able to play the full Nox Archaist scenario.
